Digital Art Program & Music Education!

A recent Martha Holden Jennings Foundation grant purchased two laptops and four digital cameras for use in TVN-Akron's art therapy program and funds from the Mary and Dr. George Demetros Charitable Trust purchased beginners' level music equipment and sheet music for the music education program.
The new digital art labs offers the boys and girls inside both residential and day treatment programs another avenue of creativity and self expression. It also provides new job skills and exposure to another career field. The money is part of the Foundation's Grants-To-Educators program which supports, recognizes and encourages outstanding classroom initiatives. The TVN grant was secured with the help of Beverly Oaks, a high school teacher for Coventry Schools.
The music education program will work with volunteer graduate students at the University of Akron. Music education and therapy is only one of several innovative programs used to help troubled and traumatized boys and girls inside The Village Network's Continuum of Care model.
New Foster Care Program - Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care

Foster parents are needed for this program. There are troubled boys and girls in your community who need your love and support. Receive professional training, access to 24/7 local on-call support, paid respite and a competitive compensation. Call The Village Network now at 330.252.8600.
Find Out About Our In-Home Family Stability Service
TVN-Akron has contracted with Summit County Children Services (SCCS) to provide In-Home Family Stability services for children and families in Summit County. Our site is only one of two sites that currently provide the in-home service. The primary goal is to maintain children in their own home and stabilize kinship placements if a child needs to enter agency care.
